The Failed to Establish Network Connection error is currently a known issue to all players, and it occurs due to the massive influx of people playing the game.

The developers are still trying to resolve this issue currently, and no official fix has been announced yet.

How to Fix Failed to Establish Network Connection Error

  1. Check Helldivers 2 Server Status
  2. Disable Crossplay
  3. Restart Your Game
  4. Wait For Bug Fix Announcements

Check Helldivers 2 Server Status

A suggested fix is to check Helldivers 2's server status, and check if the servers are running just fine on your end. The developers have acknowledged the current state of the game, and are currently working on fixes for all encountered issues.

Make sure to follow their official Twitter and join their Discord Server to get official updates as soon as they're announced!

Disable Crossplay

Helldivers 2 - Disable Crossplay

To disable Crossplay on PC, navigate to Settings then Toggle Crossplay to Off. When playing on the PS5, navigate to Account and Network and set Crossplay to Off.

Restart Your Game
