What Does the Eagle Rearm Do?

Starts the Eagle Charge Rearm Cooldown

Helldivers 2 - Eagle Rearm

The Eagle Rearm is a stratagem that you'll see when you have used an Eagle stratagem charge, but still have charges remaining. When you activate it, the cooldown to rearm all Eagle stratagems will start.

The rearming time is 2 minutes and 30 seconds by default, but can be reduced by the Pit Crew Hazard Pay ship module. You won't be able to use any of your Eagle stratagems while the Eagle is rearming, even those that had full charges before rearming.

Automatically Activates When all Eagle Charges are Used Up

Once you use up all your Eagle stratagem charges, your Eagle will start rearming automatically. You don't have to worry about needing to activate the Eagle Rearm stratagem to get new charges.

When to Use Eagle Rearm

Don't Use in the Middle of a Fight

When you see the Eagle Rearm stratagem available, don't instantly try to use it. Keep in mind that you won't be able to use your remaining charges when the Eagle is rearming. If you had an Eagle charge remaining, you won't be able to use it anymore if you decided to rearm.

Remember that the Eagle Rearm automatically activates when you use up your Eagle charges. If you think you're going to rearm soon, consider just using up your Eagle charges instead. The rearm time is the same whether you used manually rearmed or let it activate automatically.

Use During Downtime Between Big Fights

Helldivers 2 - Using Eagle Rearm

If you have an Eagle charge remaining after a big fight, consider rearming while your squad is moving to another objective. This is so that you have full Eagle charges available once you arrive to the next objective.

This isn't always the correct decision to make, as you might need those charges very soon. It's up to you to decide, but more often than not, manually rearming isn't the ideal play to make.
