As of writing, the Illuminate Faction is not confirmed if it will be added as the third faction for Helldivers 2.
Since most of the factions from the first game are featured in the latest installment of Helldivers - Terminids (Bugs) and Automatons (Cyborgs), it might be possible that we may see the return of the Illuminate Faction in a future update!
The Illuminate is one of the three enemy factions of Helldivers 1, along with Bugs and Cyborgs, and are mainly composed of squid-like creatures equipped with psychic and telepathic powers.
