How To Level Up Fast for Solo Players |
---|
|
For solo players, one of the easiest way to earn XP and level up in Helldivers 2 is to spam the Eliminate missions that require you to kill a specific enemy.
When you are just starting out, we recommend clearing Eliminate missions where you need to kill Devastators or Brood Commanders first!
Spamming Terminate Illegal Broadcast missions on Easy difficulty can also allow you to earn a decent amount of XP in under 5 minutes.
To quickly clear the main objective, drop near it and then use any type of explosive Stratagem to destroy the tower. Then, extract immediately!
At the end of each mission, one of the factors affecting the bonus XP you get is calculated on the remaining time of the mission.
If you are not after optional objectives, try to extract immediately when you beat the main objective to receive extra XP from completing the mission fast.
How to Farm XP With a Squad |
---|
|
A way to level up fast in Helldivers 2 is to clear Eradicate missions on the highest difficulty available to you. These missions require you to kill a specific number of Automaton or Terminid enemies. We recommend deploying with a full squad to clear them faster.
With a squad, doing Blitz: Search and Destroy missions is another way to level up faster. A way to clear them much faster is to split up to locate all the Bug Nests or Automaton Fabricators efficiently.
For Bug Nests, you need to throw a grenade at their holes. For Automaton Fabricators, the grenade must go inside the vent openings at the top. Note that using explosive Stratagems will also work for both.
For any type of mission, extracting with all members of your team will grant additional XP. Make sure to revive dead teammates with the Reinforce Stratagem before hopping aboard the extraction shuttle!
General Tips for Progression |
---|
|
Level | Difficulty | Bonus Multiplier |
---|---|---|
3 | Medium | +25% |
4 | Challenging | +50% |
5 | Hard | +75% |
6 | Extreme | +100% |
7 | Suicide Mission | +150% |
8 | Impossible | +200% |
9 | Helldive | +250% |
Running a mission on a higher difficulty setting will reward you with more XP as opposed to a lower difficulty setting.
Enemies will be stronger and will appear in greater numbers as the difficulty increases. With this, do not forget to pick the right weapons, armor, and Stratagems before tackling higher-leveled missions, especially if you are playing solo!
Secondary Objectives give a fair amount of XP and can be done in a short amount of time. These are marked with a blue icon on your map while exploring a planet.
As soon as you get your primary objective out of the way, try to do these before extracting to rack up some more XP before wrapping up a mission.
Activating radar towers lets you see the various POIs on your map which can help in completing objectives. Activating radar towers gives about 50 XP which can stack up if done over a couple of missions.
As you level up, more Stratagems will be unlocked for you to purchase. Stratagems unlocked at higher levels are considerably stronger than the ones available early on. At level 25, you can even unlock the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit, which is the mech in Helldivers 2!
Except for the Super Citizen title, all the titles available in-game are unlocked every 5 levels. You can change your title by interacting with the Armory in the middle of your ship.
