Weapons Cannot Be Upgraded

Helldivers 2 - Call Down an Orbital Strike

Primary and Secondary Weapons in Helldivers 2 cannot be upgraded. All guns maintain their respective stats such as damage dealt to enemies regardless of any character or ship upgrade.

Stratagem Weapons Can be Upgraded

Helldivers 2 - Managing Stratagems

In place of weapon upgrades, players can instead opt to purchase certain Ship Modules as these can provide upgrades to Support Weapon stratagems. Upgrades to Supply Stratagems depend on the Ship Module as each one will have their own effect.
