Check In-Game Audio Settings

The first fix you can try is to check your in-game audio settings and check if your voice chat setting is muted. There are a few options for this setting with two of them being Muted and Disabled.

If your game is set to either of these settings, go ahead and change it back to the other modes to start voice chatting with your party.

Press Caps Lock for Push to Talk

If your voice chat setting is set to push-to-talk, try pressing the Caps Lock key and see if your teammates can hear you. The game sets Caps Lock as the default push-to-talk key bind but you can change this from the Communication tab in your game's settings.

Switch Input in Sound Mixer Options

A fix that some players are suggesting is to change which input your game is using. Tab out from your game are search for sound mixer options in your system settings. Make sure to keep Helldivers 2 running as your PC will not show this setting if you quit the game.

Look for Helldivers 2 from the list of apps then click on the dropdown menu under Input and select which mic you want the game to use.

Change Mic in System Sounds

A popular fix that multiple players have reported success with is by changing which mic you want to use for the game. Press the Windows key and type change system sounds then click on the setting.

Navigate to the Recording tab and select which microphone you wish to use for the game then click on Set Default.

Wait for the Next Patch

For users that have tried the suggested fixes above but still haven't yielded favorable results, you may need to wait for the next patch to see a fix.

As of writing, this problem is not included in the "Known Issues" section of the official patch notes but a fix could be added once a patch is dropped. We will be sure to update this page once more information on the issue is available.
