Seeing as Helldivers 2 is designed to be played by a team, the game features no single-player campaign or game mode. Players may instead opt to decline partying up with other players and take on a mission solo.

Change Matchmaking Privacy Setting

In order to play Helldivers 2 solo, you will first need to change your Matchmaking Privacy settings so that you won't get matched with other players. By default this is set to Public so make sure to set this to Friends Only.

After changing this setting, you can then start a mission to begin playing solo.

Play Solo With Other Players

Since the game sets the matchmaking privacy to Public by default, players may also opt to play solo while still getting matched with other players and play as a party.

To do this, you will need to keep this setting on and head to your Galactic War table to select a mission. You can either join a mission that another player already started or you can start a mission alone and wait for others to join you.
