Players can unlock new weapons in Helldivers 2 by spending Medals in the Warbond, or Requisition Slips in the Ship Management terminal for Support Weapons. Check out our guide to learn how to unlock new weapons as well as how to get medals and requisition slips.
List of Contents
Players can unlock new weapons by purchasing them with Medals in the Warbonds menu. Progressing through your Warbonds requires spending a specific amount of medals to unlock the next page of items. As you unlock more items from Warbonds, the Medal cost of these items also increases.
While most of the items can be purchased with Medals, there are also items you can purchase with Super Credits. Super Credits can be found in missions, purchased with real money, or unlocked from regular Warbonds.
You can check Warbonds by pulling up the Acquisitions menu (Square on PlayStation, R on PC) while on your ship. From there, stay on the Warbonds tab and open your Warbond Progression to check which items are available for you to unlock.
Some Supply Stratagems drop-in powerful Support Weapons, like the Recoilless Rifle and Autocannon. Unlike regular weapons, they require Requisition Slips to unlock as they are categorized as a Stratagem.
To get these Support Weapon stratagems, access the Ship Management terminal aboard your ship, right next to the armory.
You'll only be able to unlock a few Support Weapons at the start, but as you level up, you'll be able to access more of these specialized Stratagem weapons.
How to Get Medals |
---|
|
Medals are primarily earned as rewards from completing missions. The amount of medals you receive will depend on the difficulty of your mission, with lower difficulties giving as low as one medal while more difficult missions reward up to 18 medals.
Players can also earn Medals by completing Personal Orders, which are essentially daily missions given by the game. These orders will change once the timer on them expires, allowing players to earn more Medals once a new order is available.
Players who take part in a Major Order may get Medals as their reward for accomplishing them. Major Orders are determined by the Game Master and there may be times when no Major Orders will be active.
How to Get Requisition Slips |
---|
|
You can earn a hefty amount of Requisition Slips by completing primary mission objectives. These main objectives are marked with an orange icon on your map and often involve challenging tasks such as evacuating civilians to safety or taking on vicious bosses.
Secondary objectives are marked with a blue icon on your map. They are optional, but reward you with a decent amount of Requisition Slips. In addition, they can be done much faster than main objectives, so it's definitely worth doing these to earn some extra currency.
If you managed to finish a mission with a lot of remaining time left, you will be rewarded with more Requisition Slips during the mission debriefing. The total amount of Requisition Slips calculated will be based on how much time was left in the mission. The more time remaining, the more you will earn.
Outposts are a fairly decent method to farm Requisition Slips as they can be destroyed quite quickly. Use an Orbital Precision Airstrike or Eagle Cluster Bombs Stratagems to quickly sabotage these.
