You can find Scout Striders in any of the sectors and difficulties mentioned above!
To encounter Scout Striders, you can join an Eradicate Automaton Forces mission in Medium difficulty. This type of mission usually spawns several Scout Striders.

You can defeat a Scout Strider by shooting down its pilot. To do this, try to maneuver behind it to have a clear shot of the pilot. This is easy to do if there are other players to distract the Scout Strider.
Another way to defeat a Scout Strider is to simply throw a grenade at it. One grenade is enough to bring the Scout Strider down!
Support Weapons with splash damage such as the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank and the Autocannon can kill a Scout Strider in one shot if the explosion hits the Trooper riding it!
Explosive Stratagems such as the Orbital Precision Strike can easily kill a Scout Strider. However, using it against one is too much!
