Found Inside an Alcove in the Toxic Anthill

| * |  The Gloom Skewer is hidden inside an alcove in the Toxic Anthill, behind a blockade of mushrooms. You will need a Tier II Omni-Axe to break the mushrooms, so make sure to upgrade it before entering the Toxic Anthill. It's guarded by the Cockroach Queen, so be prepared for a boss fight. Make sure to bring a Buggy with you; it'll help with the fight and make traveling faster. We also recommend equipping sizzle-reduction armor and bringing Mintito smoothies for the fight. ▶ All Omni-Tool Upgrades ▶ All Armor Sets and Bonuses |
| 1 |  Head to the northwest part of the map, south of the Picnic Table. Note: Do not climb up to the picnic table area; the spray can is located below, near a fallen tree's roots. |
| 2 |  Look for a green spray can near the roots of a toppled tree, which marks the south entrance to the Toxic Anthill. There's toxic gas at the entrance of the tunnel. Once you push past that initial area and get inside, you'll be clear of the gas. |
| 3 |  After entering the tunnel, keep heading straight until you reach an intersection. Take the left path. |
| 4 |  At the end of this path, you'll see a green can submerged in nasty water. Drop down the ledge, then turn to the right. |
| 5 |  Keep heading north. You'll encounter a giant cockroach along the way, but don't worry, this isn't the Queen. Just continue forward, and you'll soon reach an area where the path is completely surrounded by nasty water. |
| 6 |  Parts of the road in this area is cut off. Jump to the other side to avoid the Nasty Water, as it will drain your Health. |
| 7 |  After reaching the end of the walkway, grab the Raw Science to the right. |
| 8 |  Continue heading north. You will soon arrive at the entrance to the large area where the Cockroach Queen resides. Be ready for a boss fight. She will go aggro once she sees you! Tip: It's entirely possible to defeat the Cockroach Queen early in the game on Mild mode after getting the Ant Buggy. You'll need at least a complete Acorn armor set, the Larvalance, and several Grumble's Granola Bars. ▶ Cockroach Queen Fight Tips |

 Aim for the back, and especially the stomach. Use Larvalance (Spear) for longer reach and stabbing damage.Avoid her body slam and the toxic liquid she sprays, as both will inflict heavy damage..The toxic liquid will give you Sizzling damage. Equip sizzle-reduction armor to decrease Sizzle damage.Avoid stepping on Nasty Water, as it is poisonous and will drain your Health rapidly.After depleting her HP to 0, she'll be incapacitated momentarily before getting back up with 25% HP restored. Her head will fall off, and she'll continuously burst toxic liquid.Help your Buggy when it's getting attacked so it doesn't die during the fight.If your Buggy gets knocked out, you will have a hard time reviving it as the Cockroach Queen will continue to attack you.Cockroach Nymphs and Spiderlings will spawn during the fight.Make sure to bring a stack of Grumble's Granola Bars, Mintito smoothies, and other curative items. |
