How to Beat Gorimondo

Recommended Ability

Ice

Cause Massive Damage by freezing and Unfreezing Gorimondo

It is recommended that you use the Ice Copy Ability to fight Gorimondo. Not only will this ability allow you to avoid attacks via skating and blocking, but Grimondo takes massive damage upon being frozen and unfrozen.

Attack Patterns

Gorimondo's basic atacks include trying to step on you, throwing rocks, and swinging his arms. Once his HP drops below 40%, Gorimondo will do a spinning atack Watch your positioning, as Gorimondo can damage you while moving around the stage.

Attack near Gorimondo's Feet to Land Multiple Hits

Gorimondo likes attacking with his feet, either by stomping, or jumping in the air. These attacks are very slow and predictable, making them easy to dodge, so get close and attack him as much as you can in this phase.

Run Away from the Spinning Attack

When Gorimondo's remaining HP is at 40%, he will unleash a spinning attack that lasts for around 7 seconds. He will pause briefly after this attack, so if you manage to keep a safe distance, you safely can rush in and attack.

Guarding with the Ice Ability make you Impervious to Gorimondo's Attacks

The Ice Copy Ability is unique in that you receive no damage from enemy attacks while guarding. Use it to complete the no damage mission for this boss fight.
