Alexandria Dungeon Guide

Alexandria is a level 100 dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail (FF14). Read on to learn more about the dungeon, guides on how to beat each boss, and how to unlock here!

1st Boss Guide - Antivirus X

Foreign Entity Removal + Immune Response

The Foreign Entity Removal will start summoning Interferons that either do a cross or circular AoE attack. These Interferons will activate based on the order they are summoned. After that, it will start using Immune Response which is either a cone AoE in front of the boss, or a cleave attack from the side.

Always start with minding your position once Antivirus X has summoned Foreign Entity Removal as this is a series of AoEs that can be easily avoided once you have the right positioning.

2nd Boss Guide - Amalgam

First Disassembly

Disassembly is a move where it creates lightning lines at the center and cleaves half the area diagonally. Move to the other half to avoid the attack and keep an eye out for the outer perimeter as it also has lightning lines at the edge.

Central and Split Current

Central Current
This is a line AoE that hits those near the boss. Avoid it by moving away from him on either the left or right side.
Split Current
Two lightning attacks will hit from the side of the boss. Avoid it by going near the boss to continue dealing damage.

Second Disassembly

The first part produces a lightning line that divides the area in half diagonally. Move away from this and lightning beams that produce line AoEs will start firing after a few seconds, along with thunderbolts which do circular AoEs that follow you. Avoid the thunderbolts first and then proceed to spread out to avoid the lightning beams after.

3rd Boss Guide - Eliminator

Partition

Depending on where the Eliminator's sword is, this move will cleave half the area so time your positions by going to the other side. You can also figure out which side it is going to attack by looking at which hand is glowing purple.

Reconfigure Partition

The Eliminator can also use another move called Reconfigure Partition, which switches the sword into its other hand and activates Partition. Keep track of which side is glowing purple and stay on its opposite side to avoid the attack.

Subroutine

This move will transform its hand and turn into either a line AoE or a donut-shaped AoE. In which case, steer clear of the line by going to the side and avoid the donut by staying in the middle.

Lightning Generators

Eventually, the Eliminator will start charging and become untargetable and invulnerable while also summoning 6 Lightning Generators. Once the charge is complete, it will activate Holo Ark and wipe out the entire party. Destroy the generators before it fully charges to stop the sequence.

Final Subroutine

After you destroy the generators, it will summon another one that will cast line AoEs that follow you, and its floating hand will try to knock you back from the other side. Try to spread out to prevent the lasers from stacking on each other.

Elimination

This move will fire a series of lasers that deal magic damage all over the area. It is recommended to stay close to the Eliminator and look for safe spaces between the lines before they explode.
