Eden's Gate: Inundation (Normal) is the third fight of the first raid tier of the Eden raids in patch 5.01 of Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers (FF14). Read on to learn the raid mechanics, attack patterns, and rewards of this boss fight!
Leviathan will cast Tidal Roar, a raid-wide AoE attack. Simply heal the party to full.
Afterwards, the boss will target the Main Tank and shoot a tankbuster in the form of a beam.
Reposition to avoid hitting the party and use cooldowns to mitigate damage.
Make sure to run all the way to the safe corners of the arena during Temporary Current to avoid getting washed away and fall off the arena.
During Drenching Pulse, AoE circles will form under all players. Reposition to avoid getting hit, then spread out once the markers appears to avoid overlapping with other players.
Heal the party to full, then get ready to sprint to a corner when Leviathan casts another Temporary Current.
A huge water spout will appear during Tidal Wave. Reposition to where the spout is to get knocked back safely.
Watch the boss and look out for the heads that are glowing, as that signifies that Leviathan will destroy both lanes.
Reposition to the center of the arena to avoid falling off the platform.
Dodge the AoE circles forming under each player again during Crashing Pulse. Once the AoEs go out, make sure to stack with the marked player to survive the mechanic!
Another Temporary Current with Tidal Roar will be casted, so run to the safe corner and shield the party to mitigate incoming raid-wide damage.
The stage will return to its original form during Tsunami. Stack, shield, and mitigate damage as an incoming raid-wide damage will go out.
A player will be marked with a knockback marker during Surging Tsunami. If you have the marker, reposition to a corner of the arena.
Otherwise, stack with the marked player and use kncokback prevention, or reposition to get knocked back safely.
Immediately afterwards, Smothering Tsunami is cast and another random player will get a stack marker. Simply stack with the marked player to split the damage.
Once Leviathan casts Splashing Tsunami, one player will get a donut AoE, and other random players will get a regular AoE marker with red arrows.
The red arrows usually mean that you need to stack with other players, but this time, ignore the red arrows and spread out to avoid overlapping with other players.
A knockback marker will be placed on another player, so reposition to get knocked back safely. Afterwards, the boss will cast Maelstrom where it places three AoE circles on the ground and starts warping through portals.
Watch where the portal appears and reposition to the opposite side to survive the mechanic.
This time, the middle head will glow during Undersea Quake II. Make sure to stand at the sides to avoid falling off the destroyed arena.
Large circle AoEs will appear on the limited spaces, so watch your footing, and dodge as necessary!
Afterwards, the arena will be brought back to normal and all mechanics shown will repeat until Leviathan is defeated.
