FFXIV's Free Trial allows you to play up to Stormblood, the game's second expansion pack following the events of Heavensward.
Join the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and fight to liberate the imperial conquered states of Ala Mhigo and Doma from the Garlean Empire!

FFXIV's Free Trial was expanded on October 3, 2023 following the release of Patch 6.5. This saw the level cap increase from Lv. 60 to Lv. 70, and include Stormblood, the game's second full expansion.
Free to Play members can now also play as both Samurai and Red Mage, the two new jobs introduced in the expansion!

The Free Trial allows you to level up your classes all the way to Lv. 70! Combat classes will now have more interesting or complex rotations, and you'll have access to more dungeons and trails to take on!
Note: Classes introduced in Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail are not available during Free Trial.
