Research Filtration Towers

You can research Filtration Towers under the Resources category of the Idea Tree to reduce Squalor. Doing so will unlock either the Moss-Filtration Tower or the Ventilation Tower. Once the research is done, build them in expanded Housing Districts to reduce the growing Squalor in your city.

Research Waste Management Facilities

The buildings under the Waste Management Facilities section can also extremely or greatly decrease Squalor. However, to unlock this idea, the Filtration Towers must be researched first.
