Ranch animals are unlocked by completing quests on Baraq's Quest Board in the Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven DLC. Read on to learn how to unlock and buy Ranch animals, as well as a list of all Ranch animal species.

Complete Quests on Baraq's Quest Board
When you first start your ranch, only the Yakish will be made available to you. You must accept and complete quests from Baraq's Quest Board in Woolhaven in order to unlock different animals.
To complete these quests, you may walk the eligible animal to the Quest Board. Once you have brought the animal to that space, you can clear the quest and unlock a new animal. Note that you will still be able to keep the animal that you brought as long as you walk it back to the Ranch.
Purchase Animals with Wool
You may buy animals from Baraq with Wool. His selection refreshes with each in-game day that passes, so be sure to regularly check Woolhaven.
Get Animals From Thistle
You may also get animals from Thisle when you are doing a dungeon run. You will need to find an animal tile for this.
Lands of the Old Faith: All Dungeons
Breed Animals
You may breed animals in a Hutch order to raise more of them. Like with followers, you will need to spend Sin in order to have them mate.
The two chosen animals do not need to be the same species. However, it is best to breed two animals of the same species if you want a specific animal.
Expand Your Ranch
The amount of animals you can put in the Ranch depends on its size. Every 3 additional tiles increases the animal capacity by one, so it is best to plan your cult settlement layout accordingly.
To expand your Ranch, you may build more fence posts and adjust their position in order to cover a wider area. This area must be an enclosed space that is connected to the Ranch.

Listed above are a list of all animals you can raise in the Ranch, as well as the resources you can get from them. All of these animals can also produce meat but only when an animal is slaughtered or dies.
Animals can be slaughtered using a Butcher's Block structure. If an animal is at its Prime, it can also be Ascended for increased meat and resources.
