How to Make Buildings and Decorations

Open the Build Menu

Crafting Area

To add a building or decoration to your cult, access the Build Menu by interacting with the Hammer signpost to the left of the central Shrine. Select the structure you want to build, and make sure you have enough materials.

The Build Menu is divided into the Follower, Faith, Decorations, and Woolhaven (if you have the DLC) tabs. Try going through these different tabs if you're struggling to find the structure you would like to build.

Move Buildings Through the Build Menu

Edit Buildings Option
You can also edit your cult layout through the Build Menu by pressing the button or key for the Edit Buildings option found at the bottom of the menu.

This allows you to move or remove the buildings and decorations currently placed in your cult.

Wait for Followers to Build

Followers Building Structures

Once you place a structure onto your cult, your Followers will automatically go to it to start building. Once the gauge is full, the structure will be built, and you will gain a little bit of Faith.

Build It Yourself

Building with Followers
If your Followers are asleep or you simply want to help them out, you can also build structures yourself by interacting with the spot where you placed the building. If both you and a Follower work on it, you'll gain a little extra Faith for helping a Follower.

How to Unlock Buildings and Decorations

Divine Inspiration

Use Divine Inspiration
Most buildings and some decorations can be unlocked using Divine Inspiration by interacting with the central Shrine at your cult. Each structure in the Divine Inspiration tree requires 1 Divine Inspiration in order to unlock it.

Divine Inspiration can be obtained by obtaining Devotion from your Followers or other Shrines until the gauge is full.

Embark on Crusades

Getting Materials from Runs

Most decoration blueprints can be obtained as rewards from chests or bosses in dungeons. The rewards are usually random, so you may not always get a decoration in each run. However, you may find yourself obtaining a good amount of decorations just by playing through the game.

Lands of the Old Faith: All Dungeons

Purchase from Shops

Spore Grotto Decorations Shop
If you don't care for the random drops in dungeons, a lot of those decorations are available for purchase at various shops in each non-dungeon location.

Each shop stocks decoration blueprints from specific dungeons, with Pilgrim's Passage offering Darkwood decorations, Spore Grotto selling Anura decorations, Smuggler's Sanctuary having Anchordeep decorations, and Midas's Cave stocking Silk Cradle decorations.
