Swing with intent.

A mighty tool of unstoppable brutality.
Bane AxeBane Axe Bane Weapon Effect:
Chance of poisoning enemies when attacking.
Flavor Text:
Once struck by the toxins, one begs for the blade.
Necromantic AxeNecromantic Axe Necromantic Weapon Effect:
When slaying a foe chance to summon a ghost that will attack nearby enemies.
Flavor Text:
Severed heads still may talk.
Vampiric AxeVampiric Axe Vampiric Weapon Effect:
Chance to heal the wielder using the life force of a slain foe.
Flavor Text:
Consumer of the blood it spills.
Merciless AxeMerciless Axe Merciless Weapon Effect:
Chance to deal a Critical Hit when attacking enemies.

Once borne by the executioners of old.

Collected Fervour will also increase your Divine Inspiration bar.

When an enemy is killed, a soul is released which damages another enemy.

There are 8 Axe weapons in the game. Each weapon has a different effect, but they all have the same light and heavy attacks.

How to Use Axe Weapons

Mid-Range Regular Attack

Axe Light Attack

The Axe is a mid-range weapon that has a wide, three-hit combo. This attack string is slow, but it can damage multiple enemies due to its swinging motion.

Heavy Attack

Axe Heavy Attack

Once you obtain the heavy attack upgrade from sermons, the heavy attack for this weapon is unlocked. The Axe will be thrown forward in a straight line at where you are aiming and return back to you like a boomerang.

You can increase the damage and extend the range of the attack once you get Axe Mastery which can also be obtained from sermon upgrades.
