How to Start Chosen Child
Hatch a Follower with the Chosen Child Trait
The Chosen Child quest requires you to hatch a follower with the Chosen Child trait, which is a unique trait passed on by Followers with the Pedigree trait.
How to Get a Chosen Child Follower

| 1 |  Go to Woolhaven and check if the Follower that Helob is selling is exuding a dark aura. Purchase it for 100 coins. Note: The Followers that Helob sells is random so check back everyday until you find the Follower exuding a dark aura. |
| 2 |  Indoctrinate the follower and you'll see that it has the Pedigree I trait which mentions that the grandchild of this Follower will receive the Chosen Child trait. You'll then need to breed this Follower with another using the Mating Tent which will produce a child with the Pedigree II trait. Breed the Pedigree II Follower with another to get a child with the Pedigree III trait. Finally, breed the Pedigree III Follower with another to get an egg that will hatch a Follower with the Chosen Child trait. |
| 3 |  Place the egg with the Chosen Child trait on a Hatchery. The egg will take 5 in-game days to hatch, and you'll need to nurture it everyday until it hatches. Interact with the egg on the fifth day and it will hatch into a unique baby Follower that cannot be placed in the Nursery and will instead float around the Cult. |

Speak to the Chosen Child After 5 Days
Let five in-game days pass and look for the Chosen Child who will start following you around the cult.
Speak to the Chosen Child and they will ask you to bring them to Midas's Cave.
Place the Chosen Child on the Throne in Midas's Cave
Go to Midas's Cave and approach the large gold pile on the north with a throne on top where you'll be prompted to Leave the Chosen Child.
A short cutscene will play where the Chosen Child will commune with the Gods of Gold and ask you to return in 3 days.
Return to the Chosen Child After Three Days
Let three in-game days pass and return to the Chosen Child in Midas's Cave. Speak to the Chosen Child and they will reward you with a permanent half red heart.
The Chosen Child will thank you for taking care of it but will then say goodbye to join the ancestors and will reward you with the Chosen Child Follower Form before ascending.
Chosen Child Quest Rewards
Permanent Half Red Heart
Completing the Chosen Child quest will reward you with a permanent Half Red Heart.
If you lost a red heart from playing the Woolhaven DLC, this is a good way for you to regain a new heart.
Chosen Child Follower Form
You'll also receive the Chosen Child Follower Form which you can use to change the form of newly indocrinated Followers to your cult.
