This is a guide on how to make the best cavalry party in Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH). To know the pros and cons of making an all-cavalry party and which cavalry units are the best to use, read on!
List of Contents
The biggest asset of cavalry units is that they can move up to 3 spaces.
This is a huge advantage, as they can quickly cross the map to take out units. This is extremely powerful in the case of ranged units, as their reach is far.
Cavalry units take 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane or a Wolf weapon like Rauðrwolf+.
Cavalry units cannot cross rivers, forests, or mountains, and their movement is limited to one space when moving through trenches.
With the exception of a few units and using skills like R Duel Cavalry 4, cavalry units are the lowest scoring units in the game.
That means that even if you do merge and build them, they won't score as high as flying, infantry, or armored units.
When organizing a party, it's important to have units of different colors.
This ensures your party can defeat different types of enemy units of different attributes.
There are several skills that cavalry can use to buff either themselves and their allies, or make themselves tougher to defeat.
Grants Def/Res+4 to cavalry allies within 2 spaces during combat. |
At start of turn, grants Atk/Spd+6 to adjacent cavalry allies for 1 turn. |
Grants Atk/Spd+4 to cavalry allies within 2 spaces during combat. |
At start of turn, grants Def/Res+6 to adjacent cavalry allies for 1 turn. |
These skills synergize very well in an all-dragon party, as they increase their overall durability and firepower.

Gunnthrá's B Skill inflicts -6 on enemy units' Atk and Spdif they have the lowest Def at the start of the turn. If several units are tied for the lowest Def, all of them will collectively get the debuff.
She can be built as a support that carries around various debuff skills, and take advantage of said debuffs because her weapon grants her bonuses to her Atk equaling to the total debuffs her foe has.
