You have to attack FU right after he finishes an attack, when his eyes briefly close. All of your attacks are blocked when the eyes on FU's body are open. It's best to attack him right after his close-ranged attacks or his attempts to grab, since those attacks are easy to avoid.
In the Yellow Phase, you can use Death Kick or Death Force to interrupt his charged attacks.
When he launches Dark Energy Waves, you can Death Kick him without taking damage from the waves. When he charges up the Dark Energy Bomb, you can Death Kick him to the same effect or you can use Death Force, which stuns him.
Aim to trigger the Slash Reel by mashing him with attacks and performing a motion-control slash, or by performing a wrestling move. Slash Reel effects, such as Throw-Crazy Mode and Mustang Mode, are incredibly useful.
If you get Throw-Crazy Mode, you can perform a wrestling move on FU, spam him with attacks as he's down, perform another wrestling move when he gets back up, then keep repeating this until the effect wears off.
If you have either Full Armor or Green Armor mode ready, make sure to save it for when he does his Dark Energy Waves attack, as this is the only period his eyes are closed long enough for you to activate the mode and the launch Multi-missle attack.
Preferably save this attack for the Red Phase, as this is when FU is most difficult and you won't need the Armor mode in the next battle aboard the UFO.

You want to make sure your sword always has a good amount of battery power to ensure you get the most number of hits in during FU's brief window of vulnerability. To conserve battery power, it's recommended to dodge and avoid FU's attacks instead of blocking, as blocking attacks consumes power.
In the battle aboard FU's UFO, FU will stick his hand out from portals that line the walls of the room. Attacking the hand area of his arm is the only way to deal damage to him in this area.
You can gauge from which portal FU's hand will come out by looking at what portals have lowered on the wall. 3 portals that are near each other will lower and his hand will stick out from one of these. Watch out for these to know which area to generally avoid.
If you go near FU, he will slash each of his arms and sweep his leg. This attack can be blocked or avoided.
FU lunges forward to grab you. If he succeeds at grabbing you, he will headbutt you 3 times, with the finisher knocking you to the ground. This attack can only be avoided.
FU shoots out 5 spikes that briefly track Travis as he moves around. This attack can be blocked or avoided.
FU quickly launches 2 waves of spikes at Travis. This attack can be blocked or avoided.
In the Yellow Phase, FU charges up then emits dark energy waves around him. This attack can be avoided or interrupted with a Death Kick.
In the Yellow Phase, FU lifts up and launches a dark energy bomb directly at Travis. The bomb has a large blast radius upon landing. You can interrupt FU with Death Kick or Death Force, as he charges up the attack.
In the Red Phase, FU surrounds himself in a pillar of his hair. Red hair spikes then follow Travis as he moves around for about 10 seconds. This attack can only be ran away from.
In the Red Phase, FU charges up then quickly teleports above Travis for a ground slam. If he lands directly on Travis, Travis gets pinned down. If he misses, he emits a small shockwave that can knock Travis back. Time your dodge as soon as he teleports.
3 of the portals that line the walls of FU's UFO will lower to right above ground level. FU will stick his hand out of the portals one at a time. FU will reach his whole arm out from any of the 3 portals, which deals damage if Travis gets hit by the hand. During the Green and Red Phases, FU's hand deals more damage but stays out for longer.
This attack can be dodged or avoided by not being directly in front of the portal when FU's hand reaches out.
Lasers from above randomly move around the room. These lasers recur throughout the Yellow and Red Phases. It's recommend to just weave/run through the laser beams, as the dodge's movement is risky. Additionally, don't run opposite where the camera is facing, since you could accidentally run into lasers.
After crash-landing on Earth as a larva, he befriended a young Damon Riccitiello and promised to return. Now—20 years later—he’s back to declare the conquest of Earth with an entourage of vicious criminal aliens in tow. The only one standing in his way is the passing assassin Travis Touchdown.
FU is the charismatic space conqueror responsible for the complete destruction of many planets. Despite this, he has acquired allies from across many planets, such as Mr. Blackhole and Sonic Juice. However, his allies often choose to serve him out of fear.
FU's is known to have a short temper, which becomes even shorter as more of his allies fall. He always resorts to murder, no matter the situation or person.
After defeating FU, it is revealed that his original reason for coming to Earth was actually influenced by his connection to Damon, who wishes Travis dead. As a weakened FU attempts to go back home, he exclaims one last time, "Damon, I love you!" before he is ultimately killed by Damon, who destroys FU and his ship with an explosion.
