This is a guide on all Slash Reel Effects in No More Heroes 3 (NMH3) for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn all the possible Slash Reel bonuses, such as Mustang Mode and Throw-Crazy Mode, and how to use them!
List of Contents
By getting 3 straight BAR icons in the Slash Reel, you can enter Mustang Mode. Mustang Mode allows you to continuously slash your opponent without being disrupted and without consuming battery power. Perform as many strong attacks as you can in this mode to deal out massive damage!
By getting 3 straight bell icons in the Slash Reel, you activate Throw-Crazy Mode. Throw-Crazy mode is denoted by your hands catching fire. As long as the mode is still active, you can perform wrestling moves on enemies without them needing to be stunned.
After getting a 777 on the Slash Reel, Full Armor Mode stands by until you activate it by pressing L + R. If you don't activate it within the battle, it will carry over to succeeding battles until you activate it. While in this armor, Travis can launch his Multi-Missile at all enemies in view.
Getting green 777 on the Slash Reel triggers Full Green Mode, which also stands by until you want to activate it. You can't have Full Green Mode and Full Armor Mode on stand-by at the same time.
This armor has the Multi-missile attack as well and a Tiger Attack that functions similarly as the Death Kick. You can choose when to launch either attack, but don't take too long as the armor has limited battery.

Getting 3 star icons allows you to gain invincibility for a short period of time. While in invincible mode, getting hit by attacks just makes your body translucent. You aren't notified when the invincibility is about to wear off.
Getting 3 straight cherry icons in the Slash Reel rewards you with 600 Uc (money), while 3 straight melon icons rewards you with 50 WESN.
When the enemy is one hit away from dying, you will be prompted to perform a Killer Slash via a large red arrow appearing on screen. Move the Right Control Stick (Button Controls) or your right Joy-Con controller (Motion Controls) in the direction of the arrow to perform a Killer Slash. Killer slash can also be performed after combo-spamming an enemy. Killer Slash on the final enemy doesn't trigger the Slash Reel.
If enemy dies without you physically attacking them (ex. being killed by a Death Rain projectile), the Slash Reel will still trigger.
If both you and your enemy attack at the same time, a sword clash will trigger. Rapdily move the Right Control Stick (Button Controls) or your right Joy-Con controller (Motion Controls) up and down in order to win the clash, then similarly move the control stick or Joy-Con in the direction of the arrow.
Rapdily attacking or using either Death Kick or Death Force on an enemy will sometimes stun them. This is denoted by stars circling over their head. Performing a wrestling move on the stunned enemy will sometimes trigger the Slash Reel.
