Cycle Through Sushi Selection |
To heal or acquire stat buffs during fights, eat your take-out sushi by pressing the Up button on the directional pad. The type of sushi you have in your inventory will be shown as an icon at the bottom, center of your screen. Cycle through the sushi icons using the Left or Right button on the directional pad.
In Berry Sweet and Bitter difficulties, players may take-out up to 5 of each Sushi type. However, on Spicy and Carolina Reaper Difficulties, players will be limited to one type of sushi at a time. Be sure to visit DonMai Sushi frequently to restock.
Difficulty Differences Explained
When cycling through the sushi, the take-out sushi have different icon representations. When not cycling through them, they will be represented by colored 2x2 pixels. You can press up to eat the sushi on either the icon or the 2x2 pixel.

In order to have sushi to eat during fights, you first have to purchase take-out sushi at DonMai Sushi shops, located before every boss fight and at various stalls in every major area. Below are the list of take-out sushi and their effects when eaten during fights.
