In order to speed up the boss fight, destroy the Command Window during turn-based combat by attacking it. To attack it, press Fight then move Right Stick down to aim at it. The Command Window has about 600 HP, so 4 regular attacks will do.
Alternatively, you can play out the turn-based combat fight and deal significant damage to Sonic Juice by summoning Magic → Thunder → selecting Fight. This deals 777 damage. 2 Thunder attacks reduces 1 column of Sonic Juice's HP, which is about 2% of his total HP.
Consider that you will also have to dedicate turns to Charge and recovery via Item. Overall, this process is lengthy and not recommended.
When Death Slow is available, run up to Sonic Juice and use the skill near him to slow down his movement and the speed of all his attacks. This allows you more time to deal attacks up close, as well as a larger window to dodge.
Use Death Rain so you have an attack that you you can launch at him from long-range and that will keep firing even if you have to dodge his attacks.
In the Yellow Phase, when Sonic Juice pushes forward a vertical Water Wheel, move to the back of the stage to avoid it. You can use this brief period to charge your sword to ensure you don't run out of power during your attack window. This is better than attempting to duck in through the wheel's rotation.
In the Red Phase, Sonic Juice launches a variety of attacks that make it difficult to get up close to him. This will be the time when you're more reliant on long-range attacks. If you acquired Full Armor mode either before or during the battle, it would be best to save its Multi-missile attack for the Red Phase.

Selecting Fight allows you to deal 1 Normal Attack against Sonic Juice, the System Window (topmost blue bar), the Command Window, or the Status Window.
You can attack the Command Status Windows until they're destroyed. Do not destroy the Status Window, unless you want to fight without knowing the status of your HP and Battery power bars.
Destroy the Command Window to fight Sonic Juice regularly. Attacking the System Window wastes a turn, since Travis can't reach it.
Magic | Effect |
---|---|
Fire | "Not enough MP" |
Wind | "Not enough MP" |
Thunder | 777 damage |
Selecting Magic → Fire or Wind will waste a turn, as the game will tell you that you lack MP, but there's no way to gain MP.
Attack | Battery Depletion |
---|---|
Normal Attack | 15 |
Thunder Attack | 25 |
To perform a Thunder attack, select Magic → Thunder. This will power up your Beam Katana. In the next turn, select Fight and the target of your choice to deal significantly more damage.
Selecting Summon → ??? will waste a turn as well, since the game will tell you that the person being summoned is currently unavailable.
Selecting the Charge command will take 1 turn to refill your Battery power completely. You can select the Charge command even at full Battery power, but nothing will happen.
Item | Effect |
---|---|
Herb (x10) | 1000 HP restored |
Seleting Item → Herb will take 1 turn to restore 1000 HP.
Selecting the Run command wastes a turn, as the game will just tell you that you can't run away.
Sonic Juice brings his fist down like a hammer. The punch lands in the middle area of the battlefield. This attack can only be dodged. It's recommended to attack his arm with your sword or a Death Kick when he brings his fist down.
Sonic Juice throws a large ball of water onto where Travis is located on the battlefield. This attack can only be dodged.
Sonic Juice shoots a number of ink bullets at Travis. The trajectory of these bullets is random, so they'll most likely miss, but these bullets can be blocked as well.
Sonic Juice sweeps his arm across the part of the stage in front of him. This attack can be avoided by retreating backwards.
Sonic Juice puts his finger in the middle of the stage and creates a water wheel that can rotate either clockwise or counter-clockwise. You can stay in one area and move as it moves or you can jump over the streams.
If you get hit by a stream, you will get knocked down. Immediately tap A to get back up or else you will get hit by another stream.
Sonic Juice pushes forward a vertical water wheel that also spins rapidly. It doesn't go all the way to your end of the stage, so you can retreat backwards and stay there until it stops. You can also Death Kick to bypass the wheel.
Sonic Juice creates 3 water ripples that blast walls of water upwards. The first one is a spot in the exact center of the stage. The second ripple is a circle that affects the stage's middle area. The last one affects the entire border of the stage.
Head to the middle of the stage after the second/middle wall of water blasts upward, to avoid getting hit by the third blast of water. You can pass through the water once the ripple has already blasted upward.
Sonic Juice pushes backward and launches a tidal wave from either the left or right side of the stage. If the wave is coming from the left, a small opening to evade the wave will emerge on the right side, and vice versa.
Sonic Juice is an alien who controls a giant robot avatar that has a special attack known as Legendary Water. Known as the Guan Yu of space, Sonic Juice serves as FU's right-hand man, despite FU being the one who decimated his planet.
Sonic Juice is a logical being who attempts to break down every situation he's in. He observes human beings and concludes that they are not pure evil. Thus, he doesn't agree with FU's conquest of Earth, yet he still serves FU as he knows he doesn't stand a chance against him.
