Always be aware of where Travis is located in the arena, so you immediately know which direction he has to run when the music stops. Travis is pinpointed by a pink arrow above his head.

Hit the buttons displayed when the metronome is on yellow consecutively in order to gain a speed boost (denoted by your feet catching fire). Missing buttons will cause you to be stunned for a couple seconds.
Don't panic about missing buttons consecutively early on, as it's only detrimental if you miss the button just as the music stops.

The final round is a standoff between you and Velvet Chair Girl. All previously noted buttons are used and the metronome is much faster.

Not being able to get a seat in musical chairs causes you to be blasted into gas by Ohma and lose the battle. When you retry the battle, you will return directly to the Round you lost in.
Velvet Chair Girl is a silent alien and the reigning champion of space musical chairs. Together with her pet Ohma, Velvet Chair Girl is the #6 ranked Galactic Superhero. Her exact relationship with FU is unknown, as they don't share a cutscene together.
The intergalactic musical chairs champion, Velvet Chair Girl has her UFO designed primarily for a musical chairs competition. However, she doesn't take defeat well, as she kills herself when bested by Travis at musical chairs.
