Fish Ruins are special areas found in every biome that contain chests with valuable rewards, such as Star Shards, Oxygen Pods, and potions. These areas are usually locked and will require a key to open each.

How to Get Fish Ruin Keys

List of NPCs Rewarding Keys via Quests

NPC Description
Kraken Complete Kraken's Quest #5 to get a Forgotten Key.
Mr. Black Complete Mr. Black's Quest #8 to get a Forgotten Key.
Marcus Complete Marcus' Quest #5 to get an Ancient Key.
Grumpy Hank Complete Grumpy Hank's Quest #4 to get an Ancient Key.
Victor Complete Victor's Quest #4 and #7 to get two Spirit Keys.
Golem Complete the Golem's Quest #2 to get a Spirit Key.
Arthur Complete Arthur's Quest and all Thief Monkey's quests to get a Sunken Key.

Fish Ruins are unlocked by collecting Fish Ruin keys. These keys are obtainable by accomplishing certain quests given by NPCs.

Specific keys can only be used within the same biome, depending on the type and location from which you got them.
