Where to Catch the Whale

The Whale is located east of Spirit Roots, at the very back of the map! The Whale only spawns rarely, so you can try server hopping or logging in and out of the game to get better chances of seeing them first!
In order to get to its location quickly, you can teleport to Spirit Root Hollow for $550 using the Teleporter and swim northeast from there until you reach the barren areas of Spirit Roots!
Use Drop Luck Potion
Do note: The Whale's spawn rate is random and by chance and the Whale Head isn't a guaranteed drop! Try using the Drop Luck Potion if you're aiming to get the Whale Head!
How to Catch the Whale
Equip the Oxy Tube and Magroot Gun

To catch the Whale, we recommend equipping the Oxy Tube and Magroot Gun, as this is the most optimal set that makes catching this fish a whole lot easier! Higher tube and gun tiers are generally better, but this equipment recommendation serves as the baseline to successfully catch the Whale without running out of oxygen mid-catch!
Too Heavy or Strong to Catch?
If you get a prompt that prevents you from catching Whale with your gun, upgrade your tube or gun to a higher rarity!
If a fish's weight exceeds your current limit, upgrade your tube. If the fish is too strong, upgrade your gun or equip more powerful artifacts.
