You can catch the Whale fish in the Spirit Roots area, the third location you can access as you progress the game. Keep your eyes peeled since you'll have to manually search for the Whale to catch it, and always keep tabs on your oxygen level and weight limit to maximize your fishing sessions!
How to Catch the Whale
Equip the Oxy Tube and Magroot Gun

To catch the Whale, we recommend equipping the Oxy Tube and Magroot Gun, as this is the most optimal set that makes catching this fish a whole lot easier! Higher tube and gun tiers are generally better, but this equipment recommendation serves as the baseline to successfully catch the Whale without running out of oxygen mid-catch!
Too Heavy or Strong to Catch?
If you get a prompt that prevents you from catching Whale with your gun, upgrade your tube or gun to a higher rarity!
