How to Turn On Simple Edit

Change Setting In Game Menu

Go to Game Settings and scroll down to the Building section. Here you can turn the Simple Edit setting on or off.

Tap to Simple Edit (Optional)

You can choose to have the setting set to Tap, which applies edits by tapping instead of holding down the Edit Button.

How to Use Simple Edit

Hold Edit Button On Build Piece

Window Pre-Edit	Edited Piece
Point at your chosen edit	Press the Edit Button

Tap or Hold down your Edit Buttton while aiming at your chosen piece, and the build piece will quick edit.

The final piece will depend on where you were pointing on the build, and can be reset to its original shape by pressing Edit on it once more.

Simple Edit is an easier way to quick edit on build pieces. Quick edits can be made without having to go directly into build mode, and requires less buttons and mouse/controller movements.

Normal Edits take more mouse/controller movements and buttons pressed. With enough practice however, quick edits in normal mode can be applied just as fast.
