The Symbol Pedestal is a puzzle in the Burial Chamber tied to the A Study in Fear fieldwork in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Read on for a complete guide on how to solve the Symbol Pedestal puzzle, as well as a complete walkthrough for A Study in Fear fieldwork.

There are three Symbol Pedestal puzzles. The first two can be found in the secret Khmer Vault. The final symbol pedestal puzzle can be found inside the Burial Chamber deep in the tomb. This is puzzle can be found during the completion of A Study in Fear.

The first key is the Circle Key. You can get this when you encounter the first puzzle. Talk to Annika after revealing the puzzle to get the key.

Progressing further in the tomb, you will reach the location of the second symbol pedestal puzzle. Luckily the second Cross & Circle key can be found on a nearby skeleton.

Lastly, the final Cross & Diamond key, can be found inside the Burial Chamber. When you enter the chamber, key will be on top of a pillar to your right. You can get to this by traversing and swinging the walls to your right.

Symbol Pedestal Puzzle Summary
The objective of this puzzle is to align the symbols on the rotating discs. To do this, you will need a special key the temporarily stops one or two rotating discs, so you can time the rotation and make them align.
1. Find and use the first key for the first pedestal puzzle.
2. Find and use the second key for the second pedestal puzzle.
2. Find the third key and use all three in the Burial Chamber to solve the last puzzle.

| 1 |  Take a torch, and burn the vines away to reveal a two-bar valve. Turn it to reveal the first puzzle. |
| 2 | Use the Circle Key on the first pedestal puzzle. This is found near the entrance to the Khmer vault. The key will be with Annika, simply talk to her to get the key. |

| 1 |  When you find the second symbol pedestal, whip yank the plug from the wall to let water flow in and get the symbols spining. |
| 2 |  First use the Cross ＆ Circle Key found on a nearby skeleton. Time the insertion of the key so that the Diamond and Cross symbols align. Then use the Circle Key to align all three. |

| 1 | When you reach the third and final room with the Symbol pedestal puzzles, there will be three pedestals, hinting at three distinct keys. Get the third Cross & Diamond Key before trying to solve each puzzle. |
| 2 |  For easier distinction, let's call each of the three pedestals A, B, and C, respectively. |
| 3 |  Whip yank the plug on the right side of the Demon's Head to get pedestal C spining. |
| 4 |  Solve Pedestal A by using the Cross & Circle Key to align the symbols on the pedestal. |
| 5 |  Solve Pedestal C by using the Circle Key first to align the cross with the circle, then using the Cross & Circle Key to align the two with the diamond and the line. |
| 6 |  Solve Pedestal B by using the Cross & Circle Key first to align the Cross with the Diamond. Then, use the Cross & Diamond Key to align with the straight line on the outer ring. If the Circle is not yet aligned, you can use the Circle Key to align it with the remaining symbols. |
| 7 |  Once all three pedestals are unlocked you can unlock the Demon's Head. Insert the three keys in their proper place and pull the lever to complete the puzzle. |
