A Snake in the Garden is a mystery that can be started and completed in Father Ventura’s office located at the top floor of the Apostolic Palace. The front door of his office will be locked, but you should be able to pass through the side door.

The Apostolic Palace is a restricted area. Getting in won't be easy as many hostiles will be patrolling the area. You can use your whip to lure each one away from the group, or equip your Blackshirt Uniform to safely pass through.

1. Check the note on the table for the clue.
2. Check the spines of the books in the bookshelf, and use the note as your guide. They must be pulled in the correct order.

1	Get the Bookcase Note from the table. The note mentions that four Medieval Latin books on the bookshelf must be taken alphabetically.
2	Rotate the note to reveal the titles of the four books in question. Symbols are sketched beside each title to help you identify them on the shelf.
3	Check for the symbols on the book's spines and pull them in alphabetical order: 1. Crown (Francorum) 2. Triangle (Logicae) 3. Wheel (Philosophiae) 4. Sun (QDV)
