Open Chests and Safes

Chests and safes, more often than not, contain money in the form of coin pouches, wads of cash, or even bars of gold. Many chests are free to open, but some may require a code, which can be obtained by solving puzzles.

All safes will require a code and may be often tied to a mystery.

Hit Padlocked Boxes

There are several padlocked boxes that you can find throughout the world. These are smaller than your average chest and can be opened by hitting them with a melee weapon.

These boxes often contain cash, so try to hit any that you find! Just be careful if there are any Nazis nearby, since they may think you’re being aggressive with them.

Get Money From Nazi Tents

Most tents and Nazi settlements will have pouches of coins or wads of cash just lying around, which makes them the perfect place to find money. Just make sure that there are no Nazis watching when you snag the coins.

You’ll know if someone is watching you if the prompt that pops up says to Steal the money. Stealing money will automatically get you into trouble even if you’re wearing a disguise.

Participate in Fight Clubs

Winning fights in secret fight clubs such as the Underground Boxing Ring allows you to earn some cash. Unfortunately, there is only a limited number of fights you can win, so you can’t rely on this solely for your income.

Money and Currency Guide

Finite Amount of Money

There appears to be only a limited amount of money in the game. Collecting all available money throughout each location is most likely enough to buy all the books, but there is currently no way to farm unlimited money.

It’s possible that more money-making methods may be introduced when they add in the DLC.

How to Find Books Easier

Currency Differs Per Country

The money you pick up will not carry over to your next location. Each country has its own currency, and the merchants in each location will only accept the local currency (or medicine bottles in some cases).

The amount of money in each of the currencies you have will be retained if you decide to revisit the location again.
