This is more of a beginner friendly deck as it is the earliest decks you'll be given by default. You'll have your Flying Minis, Ranged Minis, and Melee Minis. The game will then give you a tutorial on how you should deal with certain enemy types.

Your leader may also vary depending on who you got as a reward from the Mother Fang fight. This will not matter as much though, since all leaders are strong at this point of the game.

How to Beat Heroic Dockmaster

Dockmaster is back and he's brought an extra ogre! Achieve victory against him by using Banshees to possess high health enemies, use Flying Minis to avoid barrels, and take advantage of the Execute spell and whittle down the ogres.

Dockmaster Has Two Ogres

In Dockmaster's Heroic fight, the map is unchanged and will feature the same two lanes. In his normal fight, the Dockmaster has an ogre that will hurl barrels into one lane and cycle onto the next.

However, in the Heroic version, the Dockmaster has employed an extra ogre!

The main strategy in the normal fight is to cycle between two lanes in order to avoid the onslaught of barrels incoming. In the Heroic version, it is more difficult, as both lanes are now covered by an ogre.

Use Banshees to Possess High Health Enemies

In this encounter, Molten Giants and Earth Elementals will push through your defenses.

Utilizing a Mini such as a Banshee can shift tempo to your advantage and possess these high health targets to be used as shields against the barrels.

Use Flying Minis to Avoid Barrels

Flying Minis are a good choice when it comes to evading the barrels being thrown in the lanes.

Harpies are a good recommendation due to their fast movement speed and high damage output as well as Vultures to take advantage of the chickens that Dockmaster summons.

Take Advantage of Enemy Positioning With the Execute Spell

Although Dockmaster has two ogres now, they will continue to cycle both lanes. As they run out of barrels, the two ogres will switch places and the barrels will refill.

At a certain point where they meet, you can cast an Execute spell to target both ogres as well as Dockmaster himself. This is recommended to whittle them down and eliminating them will make lanes safer to push.

How to Beat The Dockmaster

Defeat the Dockmaster by capturing the meeting stone in the right lane, redirecting units to avoid barrels, utilizing your leader with other Minis, and casting Chain Lighting to clear out chickens.

Capture the Metting Stone in the Right Lane

Similar to the Mother Fang fight, you will want to capture this Meeting Stone as soon as possible. This is because it will allow you to summon Minis on the point, and doing so lets you reach the Dockmaster quicker.

Redirect Your Units to Avoid Barrels

You will also need to be wary of the barrels rolling down the lane by watching where the ogre on the top is staying. Since the barrels deal a lof ot damage, make sure to redirect your units on the left lane by clicking on the blue arrow on the floor. You can either make them go straight or go right so that you can avoid the lane where the barrels are coming from.

With that said, it is also suggested to place most of your units on the left since you can always redirect them to the right whenever you want to.

Utilize Your Leader with Other Minis

Make sure to utilize your leader by summoning them when you can. Most leaders will do well when you have spawned other Minis alongside it so you can overwhelm the enemy. Try to also learn the roles and capabilities of your leader so you know how to use them properly.

Use Chain Lightning on Chickens

You can be easily overwhelmed by the Angry Chickens due to their numbers, alongside other units the enemy summons. Thankfully, you can easily counter this by using Chain Lightning on them, or by placing a Gnoll Brute to fight against them.

The Dockmaster Map Layout

Elwynn Forest 1-3 has two lanes. On the left lane, you have a Switch that can redirect your troops should you need to avoid troops and obstacles in the path. On the right, you have an unclaimed Meeting Stone. Taking the left lane and redirecting the path gets you access to the Meeting Stone on the right lane. This will allow you to flank and take the stone from two fronts.
