The mainstays of the deck are the Stonehoof Tauren and Warsong Raider, two strong minis that can frontline and take towers fairly well.

To support these units, we're running a Grommash Hellscream as the lead, along with a Frostwolf Shaman for healing.

Also included in the deck is the meta beast duo of Quilboar and Harpies, which allow us to aggressively take far away chests and defend against most melee minis.

Lastly, a Darkspear Troll is included as our backline mini and our answer to Flying minis.

Melee Minis

Stonehoof Tauren can be used as our frontline tanks as well as our backline killers. Minis like Huntress, Necromancer, Pyromancer, and Firehammers are all swiftly dealt with when facing a Stonehoof Tauren.

Warsong Raider is our primary pusher and will typically be sent alone towards an undefended tower.

Quilboars act as our off-tanks and aggressive chest-takers. These minis are deployed at chest locations that are too difficult to reach normally.

Ranged Minis

Frostwolf Shamans help us push down lanes because they double as both a healer and a pseudo-backline mini. They can deal damage to Flying units while also healing our minis.

Darkspear Trolls will usually be situated behind a Grom or another frontline tank for maximum effectiveness.

Flying Minis

As we will be commiting most of our resources to taking objectives, Harpies are present as a cheap way to deal with most tanks.

Their cheap cost and Flying trait gives them the advantage against all of the melee tank units such as Abominations, Core Hounds, Molten Giants, and Footmen.

Leader Talents

Grommash Hellscream	Bladestorm Gain an AOE bladespin ability that damages all nearby enemies.

Our deck has only a few ways to deal with Squads, hence we've opted to equip Grom with Bladestorm to help alleviate the pressure from Squads.

Melee Talents

Quilboar	Bristleback Deal a small amount of damage to Melee Attackers
Stonehoof Tauren	Momentum After connecting a charge, immediately charge a second time if possible.
Warsong Raider	Saboteur Attacking a tower cripples it, reducing its damage dealt by 50% for 3 seconds.

Momentum is a multi-purpose talent that allows the Stonehoof Tauren to charge twice in a row. This means that she can charge a chest and then straight into an enemy, or charge a frontline mini and then immediately charge a backline mini.

Bristleback is another talent we've selected as an answer against Squad minis.

Saboteur allows our Warsong Raider to solo most towers, as long as they are undefended. This ability reduces tower damage against all the minis it is hitting, so Dragon Towers and Rocket Towers will be rendered less effective against our pushes.

Ranged Talents

Darkspear Troll	Big Bad Voodoo Regenerate 20% health every second.
Frostwolf Shaman	Lightning Mastery Ranged attack chains to 3 nearby targets.

Big Bad Voodoo affords our Darkspear Troll some longevity as this mini already wins most 1v1s, it can continue pushing down lanes.

Lightning Mastery is equipped on our Frostwolf Shaman as our third and final answer to Squad minis.

Flying Talents

Harpies	Infectious Swipes Gain Poison

Infectious Swipes significantly increases Harpies' DPS against tanky minis. This allows them to double down on their role as tank-killers.

How to Play Grommash Hellscream Horde Faction

Split Push If Viable

Send Stonehoof or Grom plus Frostwolf Shaman down the defended lane while sending Warsong Raider down another. This will cause the enemy A.I. to do one of two things;

Leave one lane undefended, or split their troops. Once the A.I. reacts to your push, decide which lane is easier to take and send reinforcements down that way.

Counter Melee Minis With Harpies

Whether it's a Molten Giant or Warsong Grunts, use Harpies against Melee minis to de-push lanes.

Use Grom, Quilboar, or Frostwolf Shaman Against Squads

Our build has no spells, nor any Bombard units to deal with squads. As such, the talents we've included above allow these 3 minis some form of AoE attack to deal with Squads.
