This is more of a beginner friendly deck as it is the earliest decks you'll be given by default. You'll have your Flying Minis, Ranged Minis, and Melee Minis. The game will then give you a tutorial on how you should deal with certain enemy types.

With that said, Gryphon Rider is a a strong Mini since most of the enemies you will face are Melee, and only Ranged or Flying Minis can deal damage to it. Try to summon this Mini alongside your other units for a strong advantage.

How to Beat Heroic Goldtooth

Goldtooth is back and meaner than ever! Defeat Goldtooth's buffed Kobolds by intercepting them with Unbound Minis, controlling the gold economy, and capturing the tower to achieve victory.

  2. Intercept Kobolds with Unbound Minis
  3. Control the Gold Economy
  4. Capture the Tower

Goldtooth’s Kobolds Will Level up When Mining Gold

For Goldtooth's Heroic version, the map is largely the same from his normal fight. However, every Kobold that Goldtooth summons have extra health as denoted by their now larger appearance.

And when they successfully mine gold from a vein, the Kobold will gain 10 levels for each gold it collects.

These Kobolds become a huge threat if left unchecked as when they reach higher levels, they become difficult to defeat quickly and will cause huge damage to your structures.

Intercept Kobolds with Unbound Minis

Preventing the Kobolds from successfully mining the vein is the key to defeating Heroic Goldtooth. It is recommended to use Unbound Minis to intercept the Kobolds before they reach the vein.

As the Kobolds have extra health, using Minis like Worgen or S.A.F.E. Pilot are more efficient than a Mini like Quilboar as they can strike the Kobold with high damage despite its high health.

Control the Gold Economy

Another strategy that can be employed is to simply prevent the Kobolds from mining any gold by stealing the gold before they can mine it. One way this can be done is by utilizing a Dark Iron Miner to intercept gold mines before Kobolds can reach them.

Capture the Tower

The entire encounter should be similar to Goldtooth's normal encounter with the exception of the beefed up Kobolds.

The priorities should be taking the right-side tower while keeping the Kobolds in check and to make sure to have an AoE mini to deal with Angry Chickens.

Capture Goldtooth's Guard Tower

Warcraft Rumble - Capture the Guard Tower of Goldtooth

For this fight, your main priority should be capturing the guard tower so you can spawn your units closer to Goldtooth. You can do this by sending as much units to the right lane to defeat the chickens and the tower there.

Defeat Chickens with Gnoll Brute or Chain Lightning

Warcraft Rumble - Defeat Goldtooth

The chickens can be annoying in this fight due to their numbers. However, you can manage this by sending out a Gnoll Brute to deal AOE attacks, or to use Chain Lightning and clear them out instantly.

Angry Chickens Guide

Goldtooth Map Layout

Elwynn Forest 1-1 has two lanes. Deploying to the left lane gives you access to Gold Veins and leads you directly to Goldtooth. Deploying to the right lane faces you up against an Enemy Tower. Let your Tank units take the brunt of the tower and let Ranged and Melee units overwhelm it in numbers. Taking the right lane is a necessary risk as it could potentially give you more control of the field.
