Main Story chapters follow Sung Jinwoo, and must be accomplished to unlock new functions and game modes. Be sure to continuously level up Sung Jinwoo and your Hunters to be allowed to progress through the Main Story.

Side Chapters follow the stories of specific side characters and Hunter allies of Sung Jinwoo in the webtoon. These are purely optional, but can still be accomplished for the Custom Draw Tickets earned for clearing the Chapter, in addition to the other Stage rewards inside the Chapter.
For those that wish to rechallenge the Story on a harder difficulty, Hard difficulty is unlocked after clearing Chapters 7 to 10 on Normal difficulty. You can progress through the story again on Hard difficulty to earn the first clear awards again for each Chapter.
Later, upon clearing chapter 15, you will unlock Reverse Mode, which is a version of the Main Story chapters that comes with its own Battle Missions and rewards and restricts you to only using your support Hunters.
The Story Mode of Solo Leveling Arise, which is based on the events and characters of the original webtoon, contains Main Chapters, which are necessary to unlock functions and other game modes, and Side Chapters, which are purely optional quests. All Story mode Chapters can consist of Story, Battle, or Boss Stages.
Fully clearing any type of Story Mode Chapter, and its respective optional Battle Missions, will reward you with 4 Custom Draw Tickets per Chapter.
