Special Gates always offer tons of Gold for clearing them. It's best to look for this gate to farm Gold fast, especially if you have Gate Keys to spare. Special Gates will only appear once you reach difficulty 5 for the gates.
You can rescan the gates if there's no Special Gate. You can wait for 5 minutes or spend a little Gold to rescan again.
You can sell artifacts you won't be using to get extra Gold in hand. You can prioritize the lower-level ones first to prevent unintentional accidents when selling artifacts.

Most events will reward you with Gold for completing their tasks. There will always be an active event so check and do them daily to get other rewards aside from Gold!
You can get a lot of Gold on Activity Funds once you've unlocked it during the tutorial. You can also earn XP to level up Sung Jinwoo this way so don't miss to check it out daily.

All gates will reward you with Gold each time you clear or mine them. Gates with higher ranks will always yield more Gold and additional rewards, like Artifacts and weapon enhancement materials.
Doing tasks and getting enough points in the Daily and Weekly Missions will get you some Gold. You should be able to do some activities that reward Gold as well when trying to finish them.
Chapter Challenges are one reliable source of Gold for starting players, as it will be easier to complete them during the early-mid game part of the game. There are currently a total of 23 Chapters and 818 Missions to complete.
Leveling up characters and advancing them will get you some Gold through the Bonds feature. It's a good way to recover a small amount of Gold for upgrading your characters.
Some achievements reward Gold once you complete them. You should be able to complete several of them daily or weekly, even if you just started with the game.
