Clear Chapter 15 on Normal

While you can acquire gems earlier, the Gems screen, where you can equip and utilize Gems, is unlocked after clearing Chapter 15 of the Story Mode (Normal).

How to Use Gems

Equip in Gems Screen to Gain Bonuses

Solo Leveling Arise - Gems Screen

In the Gems Screen, you'll find a constellation where you can equip gems. Each gem you equip will add a bonus to Sung Jinwoo, your hunters, and your shadows.

Note that you cannot unequip gems. When switching gems, the equipped gem will disappear.

Equip All Colors to Unlock Slots

Solo Leveling Arise - Gems Unlock Next Slots

The next slots in the gem constellation will unlock after you have equipped 1 gem of each color.

The Battlefield of Chaos is the main way of getting new gems. This mode will have you fight through waves of enemies to gain gems. The further the wave, the higher the chances of higher rarity gems to drop.
