All Trooper variants are not difficult to kill. Unlike tanky Automaton Enemies such as the Hulk, they do not have any heavy armor and will die within a few shots. If you want to kill a Trooper quickly, just aim for headshots!

Shoot the Assault Raider's Jet Pack

An Assault Raider is one of the variants of a Trooper. This variant can rapidly close distance using its jet pack so they are more deadly than a normal Trooper. Other than shooting an Assault Rider's head, you can shoot its jetpack for it to malfunction and explode!

Use Grenades to Clear a Squad

Most of the time, you will encounter Troopers in groups. If are about to be overwhelmed, use AoE damage such as a grenade to clear a squad of Troopers!

Standard Trooper

This variant is considered the weakest Automaton enemy in Helldivers 2. Standard Troopers typically use machine guns as their weapon. This variant is also labeled as Raiders or Marauders in-game.

MG Raider

MG Raiders is a variant of the Trooper that is similar to the standard version since it also uses a machine gun as its weapon.

Rocket Raider

A variant of the Trooper that uses a rocket launcher as its weapon. Rocket Raiders can one-shot you with their weapon if you are ill-prepared. When fighting one, find a cover immediately or kill them quickly.

Brawler

Brawlers is a variant of the Trooper that uses two blades as its weapon. Like a Berserker, a Brawler will chase you down relentlessly. So, maintain distance to avoid their attacks.

Assault Raider

Assault Raiders are a Trooper variant that has a jet pack. This variant wields a hand cannon and a blade as its weapon. You can shoot their jet packs for it to explode and kill them!
