How to Beat Elder Torntusk

Go For a Bulky Deck

Grommash Deck Build

Warcraft Rumble - Quilboar Quilboar Warcraft Rumble - Huntress Huntress Warcraft Rumble - Whelp Eggs Whelp Eggs

Grommash is selected as our leader for his ability to grant Bloodlust to nearby allies. This increases the movespeed of our allies and allows our troops to quickly pass through the ring that is being patrolled by Dreamtracker.

Furthermore, the Bloodlust buff also increases attack speed. This increases the damage we deal to Turntusk per wave that successfully reaches his location.

Stonehoof Tauren, Warsong Raider, and Huntress are also included in the deck cause of their quick movespeed and natural bulk. This works well against Torntusk's cleave, allowing you to deal decent amounts of damage without instantly dying.

Harpies and Whelp Eggs are included as defensive options against the Bog Beasts that occassionally spawn from the middle portal.

Quilboars will act as our treasure hunter and meeting stone taker.

Take the Left Lane

Dreamtracker patrols the ring in a clockwise manner, so take the left path from your base right after Dreamtracker passes by to have the biggest window of time before Dreamtracker passes the area again.

Face The Arrow to the Left

The arrow closest to your base will be facing right by default. Switch it over to the left so that any units you accidentally put on the right lane will re-route themselves and walk in a clockwise direction!

Use Unbound Minis to Capture the Left Meeting Stone

Quilboars, or any Unbound mini can efficiently take the left meeting stone. Affording you a quick way to reach Torntusk.

Chests are the next priority after the meeting stone

After the meeting stone has been secured, use your Unbound units to take the chest on the right side of the middle portal.

Deploy Units in Waves

Save up your Gold and deploy Grommash together with a Warsong Raider or Huntress from the left meeting stone.

Grommash's Bloodlust will allow the mounted mini to pass through Dreamtracker's path and reach Torntusk quickly.

Defend Using Fliers

Torntusk primarily uses melee ground units to siege your base. Use Harpies and Whelp Eggs to defend your base while you deploy units from the left meeting stone.

Leave Whelp Eggs Near the Portal

The portal will only ever spawn Bog Beasts, so leaving a set of Whelp Eggs near the exit will stifle the enemy.
