Rend Blackhand is our preferred Leader for this stage because of his Flying trait. This works well against the Spiderlings that Vilebranch likes to deploy. Additionally, his natural bulk allows him to reach Vilebranch despite Vilebranch's bombardment of shadow magic.
Drake, Harpies, and Whelp Eggs are included in the deck as synergistic units with Rend, with Core Hounds as the frontline tank and Quilboar acting as the defending tank.
Lastly, the S.A.F.E. Pilot is included as our emergency wave clear mini since we are not running any Spells.
Focus on the Right Lane
Capture a Tower on the right side of the map and focus on holding that position. Vilebranch will typically spawn her own Kobold Miner on the left side, so the right side is the path of least resistance.
Additionally, trying to hold both towers on the map exhausts too many resources, so focus on deploying your minis from just the right side of the map.
This will cause Vilebranch to focus on deploying minis on the right side as well in an attempt to defend herself from you.
Use Tanky Minis
Vilebranch's special mechanic is that she can damage minis from an extremely long range. Using tanky frontliners like Core Hounds, Abominations, or Warsong Grunts allows your units to arrive at Vilebranch's location without losing too much HP.
Deploy Rend Before Other Flying Minis
Rend decreases the cost of Flying units by 1. This seemingly insignificant buff will allow you to get your other Flying minis out sooner.
Also, you will want to send your units out in waves instead of one at a time, or else Vilebranch will single each one out with her long-range magic.
