Sylvanas was chosen as our leader because of Black Arrow talent. This talent allows her to safely clear out the clutches of Whelp Eggs scattered along the lanes.
Similarly, the Necromancer is also included for the same reason, as his skeletons can get rid of the eggs while the Necro himself deals with the Whelps as well as Gargoyles.
Ghouls are present as the cheap frontliner that combos with Sylvanas' expensive gold cost, while the Stonehoof Tauren is the premium tank for when we're facing-off against General Colbatann himself.
Additionally, Stonehoof Tauren is also our primary answer against Huntress and Darkspear Troll.
Earth Elemental's main role is to soak tower damage once our push arrives from the right lane. Since this tower is located quite the distance from our base, we can commit gold to building up a large force before dropping the Earth Elemental at the last second.
Pyromancer is an alternative option to Sylvanas if you don't already have Black Arrow unlocked, but can also be played as a supplementary defensive mini when needed.
Gryphon Rider is here as another emergency defensive response against enemy minis that manage to reach our base.
Use Ranged Minis
This campaign map's gimmick consists of the numerous clutches of Whelp Eggs scattered along both lanes. These eggs all spawn a Flying Whelp that deals AoE damage, so squads are not recommended.
Instead, we recommend using ranged minis like Huntress, Necromancer, and Pyromancer to deal with these eggs and safely cross from your base towards General Colbatann's location.
Counter the Gargoyle
Using Ranged minis also helps to deter the Gargoyle that General Colbatann will occassionally send down either the left or right lane.
Take the Lone Tower
Deploy a frontliner and Sylvanas on the right lane to slowly progress towards the only tower on the left lane. Once Sylvanas and co. get close, deploy an Earth Elemental near the tower to soak its attacks while Sylvanas deals damage to take it.
We want this tower since it protects the bridge as well as having a nearby gold node. Additionally, the tower is much closer to the General and can serve as our primary deployment point.
Time the Earth Elemental Deployment
Commit more gold into an offensive push on the right since you will usually have enough gold to deploy the Earth Elemental by the time your push arrives to deal damage to it.
