Building your AC or "Assembly" refers to customizing your AC by changing its parts and weapons. An AC is composed of seven types of parts and is equipped with four weapons: right hand, left hand, right shoulder, and left shoulder, in addition to the parts.

Understanding the characteristics of each part and weapon and changing your build according to the mission is the key to mission success.

Build Your AC Based on The Mission

First, confirm and learn what your mission's objectives are and gather information while playing. Once you've learned the mission's objectives, stage structure, enemy placements, and boss strategies, decide what kind of AC you will need to build, such as using a highly mobile AC for data retrieval objectives or opting for a heavily armored AC when facing intense enemy attacks.

Equip Legs That Are Suitable for Your Build

Leg Types Features
Bipedal (Two-Legged) ・Standard walking legs
・Balanced mobility and load capacity
・Available in lightweight, medium-weight, and heavyweight categories, offering high configurational freedom
Reverse Joint ・Bipedal legs with reverse-joint ankles
・High jump capabilities with low EN consumption
・Lower defense and load capacity
・Improved Quick Boost
Quadruped (Four-Legged) ・Legs resembling quadrupedal animals
・High load capacity, enabling the use of heavy weapons
・Able to charge attacks without stopping
・Can hover and stay in the air
Tank ・Legs resembling tanks
・Highest load capacity and defense
・Can handle heavy weapons without stopping
・Low mobility and turning ability
・Can drift

Among all the AC parts, legs have the most distinct characteristics, and they significantly affect your AC's maximum load capacity. The type of legs largely determines the tactics of the AC, so understand their features and choose legs suitable for your mission.

Choose Your Weapons Based on the Types and Number of Enemies You’ll Face

Choose weapons based on the types and numbers of enemies that appear in the mission. For example, if there are many small enemies, use missiles, and for close-quarters combat, equip shotguns or blades.

Exploit Your Enemy's Weaknesses

Weapons with high attack power are classified into three attributes: ballistic, energy, and explosive. For example, using energy weapons when the enemy's energy defense is low can give you an advantage in battle.

Pay Attention to Your AC's Weight Capacity and EN Load

Types Disadvantages When Exceeding Your Weight/EN Load
Weight Capacity Limit If you exceed the limit, you won't be able to take on missions. But if you get the OS upgrade "Weight Control," you can sortie even if your AC is overburdened.
Arm Part Weight Capacity Limit Exceeding the limit reduces aiming tracking and recoil control.
EN Load Exceeding the limit prevents you from being able to take on missions.

All parts have weight and EN load settings, and exceeding the leg and arm part load capacity limits or the generator's EN output limit will put you at a disadvantage. Pay particular attention to exceeding the EN load limit, as it will prevent you from being able to take on missions.

There’s No Difference Between the Buying and Selling Prices of Parts

In Armored Core 6, the purchase price and selling price of parts in the shop are the same. If you find that the parts you bought are not suitable, you can sell them and get a full refund, allowing you to try out parts as many times as needed.

If you're still short on COAM, consider earning some by replaying missions.
