Frequently Asked Questions

What is Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon?

Robot Action Game
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is the latest mainline entry in the Armored Core franchise, revolves around a series of robot action games that date back to 1997. The basic gameplay involves clearing stages with an AC (Armored Core) assembled by yourself.

Is Armored Core a Hard Game?

It Can Be a Hard Game
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon can be a hard game to play. Depending on how you build your AC, levels can be either hard or easy to clear. You'll also have to learn how certain enemies move. Be prepared for some trial and error; it's all part of the challenge.

How Do I Build My AC?

Start with the Legs
When you're about to build your AC, we recommend you start with its legs. The capabilities of an AC, such as its movements and weapon choices, are greatly affected by the leg parts. If you want to move at a certain speed and use certain weapons, decide what leg parts to use first.

How Do I Read Info on the Screen?

Start by Checking the Center Information
There's a lot of information on the screen, but basic information is concentrated around the central crosshair. There, you can see your crosshair's color, your weapon's reload status, and the direction your enemy's attacks will come from if you don't see them on-screen. Looking at the center of the screen will help you keep track of most of what's happening. As you become more accustomed to the game, you can also keep an eye on the bottom right corner of the screen to see the ammo counters for your weapons.

How Do I Dodge?

Check the Alerts
Dodging enemy attacks can be very tough in Armored Core 6. Focus on avoiding very dangerous attacks that trigger an alert on your screen. You can see them displayed in red, accompanied with a unique alert sound. Get used to pressing the Quick Boost button when you hear that alert sound so you can easily dodge dangerous enemy attacks.

I Keep Missing The Enemy!

Check the Crosshair Color
If your attacks aren't hitting the enemy, check if your crosshair's color is red. If it's red, it means you're in predictive shooting mode, and your AC will attempt to predict the enemy's movements to some extent. It doesn't guarantee a hit, but this can improve the accuracy of your shots.

How Do I Lock-On to Enemies?

There is no Lock-On (But There Is an Aim Assist Feature)
In this game, there's no traditional lock-on feature that automatically tracks and follows enemies. However, it does have an Aim Assist feature. Still, it's much better to keep track of your enemies by moving the camera. Pay attention to where they're going and keep the in your sights until the Aim Assist kicks in.

Why Did My AC Suddenly Stop Moving?

Your AC is in a "Staggered" state
If your AC suddenly stops moving and takes massive damage, it's because it is in a staggered state. When staggered, your AC temporarily becomes immobile, and all enemy attacks become direct hits, resulting in critical damage. Staggering can occur when you continuously take enemy attacks or when you are hit by attacks that deal heavy Impact damage. Keep in mind that stopping for even a moment can lead to your AC taking massive damage, especially if you're piloting a lightweight AC.

Why Did My Attacks Suddenly Turn Into Punches?

Out of Ammo
If your attacks suddenly turn into punches when you press the attack button, it means you've run out of ammo. There's an ammo count displayed in the lower right of the screen, so be conscious of it for your next battle.
