How to Use Assault Boost

Activate by Pressing L Stick

The Assault Boost is activated by pressing the L Stick. During Assault Boost, you can move freely up, down, left, and right using the R Stick. You can also perform steps by tilting the L Stick left or right.

Can Be Canceled by Reversing, Jumping, or Using Weapons

You can cancel the Assault Boost by Reversing, jumping, or using your weapons. If you want to preserve some of your boost power, be sure to cancel it.

Boost Kick Available with OS Tuning

With Boost Kick unlocked through OS Tuning, you can use it during Assault Boost by pressing the L Stick again.

When to Use Assault Boost

Use to Rapidly Close In on Enemies

Assault Boosting reduces the impact of enemy attacks you receive,, so use it when you want to close in on an enemy rapidly. Additionally, if you have a weapon that won't stop you from moving when you use it, you can fire those off before getting close to the enemy and following up with a close-quarters melee weapon.

Use It to Move between Areas

Assault Boost provides high movement speed, making it useful for stage transitions.
