Want to play online in Armored Core 6? Read our guide below to get started.
To play online battles, you need to have a PS Plus subscription. This requires a monthly or annual fee, but it's essential for playing online. However, if you are using the Steam version, you can play without a subscription.
Ocean CrossingMission
Online play is not immediately available; you must clear the final mission of Chapter 2, Ocean Crossing.
You can reach this point in approximately 8 hours if you progress quickly.
A PS Plus subscription is not required for sharing ACs. That way, it's easier to help other players who are stuck, or to show off your own custom AC builds.
AC6's online battles come in two varieties: 1v1 battles and 3v3 team matches. 1v1 battles are straightforward one-on-one fights, while 3v3 involves ACs teaming up to fight the opposing team. There is a matchmaking system where you can create rooms for players to join.
Online Feature | What You Can Do |
---|---|
Photo Mode | ・Share photos taken during gameplay |
Share AC Data | ・Share AC builds ・Officially recommended to check other players' loadouts for tough missions |
Share Emblems | ・Share Emblems with friends |
Matchmaking for online play involves creating rooms and allowing others to join.
1v1 battles follow a simple rule: if your AC is destroyed once, you lose. You win by destroying the enemy AC.
In 3v3 battles, you can respawn multiple times even if you're defeated. Victory is decided by which team has the most number of points by the end of the match. Additionally, there's a system where the player with the highest points during the match becomes a priority target. If they're destroyed, the opposing team gets bonus points.
