Unlock Surveillance Towers to Open Up the Map

Surveillance Tower Spiderman
In the mission Keeping The Peace, you will be introduced to Surveillance Towers that let you see Points of Interest on your map. These are extremely helpful since they'll show you all possible activities in an area such as Crimes and Challenges, making it easier to get Tokens. Be sure you fix any Tower you see while swinging through the city.

Complete Side Missions and Activities

Side Missions Pop up While Playing

Complete Side Activity Spiderman
As you progress through the Main Story, Side Missions will appear on your map that will be given by various citizens. Make sure to help them out since not only is that Spider-Man's duty, but you're also rewarded with lots of XP to go towards unlocking new skills.

Resolve Crimes and Clear Bases

While swinging through the city, you'll be given alerts for Crimes in progress. You'll also spot several Bases filled with enemies marked on your map. Clear these objectives to earn Crime and Base Tokens that go towards unlocking new Suits.

Do Challenges

Whats In The Box
Upon completing the mission What's In The Box?, new activities will appear on your map called Challenges.

Challenge Types
Bomb Challenges Combat Challenges
Drone Challenges Stealth Challenges

Completing these gives you Tokens to unlock important late-game items.

How to Get Challenge Tokens

Use Tokens to Unlock Suits and Suit Mods

Suit Mods Spiderman
Tokens are important for unlocking new Suits and Suit Mods that can change the way you approach combat. Be sure to gather as many as possible so that you'll be able to unlock the skills that fit your playstyle. Keep in mind that Suits aren't just for your aesthetic, as most of them have a unique ability.

Look for Collections to Earn More Tokens

Solve Puzzles and Complete Research Stations to Get Research Tokens

Completed Circuit Project
Puzzles can be done in Doctor Octavius' lab after completing the mission My OTHER Other Job. These provide great boosts thanks to the bonus XP given along with Research Tokens. Not all puzzles will be available from the start, so be sure to check back here as you progress through the Main Story for any new ones that appear.

How to Get Research Tokens

Look for Backpacks and Landmarks

Spiderman backpack
Backpacks and Landmarks each give Tokens that help unlock certain Suits and Mods. Thanks to Surveillance Towers, they're fairly easy to find and can be obtained even during Missions. Just pay attention to your map while swinging around and you'll clear them all in no time.

Use Gadgets and Abilities

Remember to use your gadgets and abilities during combat to make encounters much easier. These will be particularly helpful when doing Challenges since you'll be able to take out enemies instantly, increasing your Time Bonus.

You can Fast Travel

While swinging is an extremely fun way to get around the city, some missions and challenges may require you to cover long distances. In these situations, you can opt to use the subway instead to Fast Travel to a destination. Fast Travel is unlocked after completing the mission Wheels Within Wheels.

You can Skip Puzzles and Quick Time Events

For those who don't enjoy puzzles or quick time events, you'll have the option to skip either of them while not missing out on any content. Skipping puzzles will still earn you XP and Research Tokens, and QTEs will play out like cutscenes instead.

Level Up to Unlock Skills

Spider-Man All Skills Unlocked
Leveling up grants you points that will go towards unlocking various Skills that will help you during gameplay, whether in combat or not. The Skills are divided in three types: Innovator, Defender, and Webslinger, each with their own focuses. You can unlock the Skills that will cater to your playstyle.
