While you will eventually get all skills in the game, knowing which ones to start out with is very very important!

Web Throw

Web Throw is the bread and butter of any friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, allowing you to throw enemies you've webbed up! This is especially helpful in fulfilling and side objectives for Crimes or Bases!

Hazard Zone

When surrounded by enemies, you'll want to ensure that you can keep them from overwhelming you. Hazard Zone knocks when over when swinging an object, making this a definite must have in your arsenal, no matter what part of the story you're in.

Pistol and Baton Yank

When fighting in close combat, it can be difficult to deal with enemies shooting from afar, especially early in the game. The Pistol and Baton Yank will allow you to disarm enemies with pistols and batons, giving you the upper hand!

Perfect Dodge

Perfect Dodge is a must have, not only because it's the first in the skill tree, but because it allows you to slow time while in combat. This gives you a moment to make your next move or to escape a sticky situation.

Dodge Window

Dodge Window boosts your Perfect Dodge, making it much easier for you to achieve. At the same time, it's a step towards Payback, which is a powerful skill in the game.

Swing Kick

Knocking down enemies is pretty swell, but once you're fighting on buildings, the Swing Kick becomes extra powerful. Not only does it allow aerial combat, it can potentially knock enemies off of the roof and out of combat!

Quick Zip

When you're rushing around the city, trying to get from place to place, the Quick Zip is your friend. It not only keeps your altitude but propels you forward!

Innovator

At the beginning of the game, you'll want to increase the number of combos and moves you can make against enemies. This is especially true for moves that can incapacitate or weaken enemies!

Payback	Press Webstrike ( ) after Perfect Dodging rifle and pistol enemies for an instant takedown.

Webslinger

With mobility mastered, you can no make use of it to deal better damage, generate more Focus, and at the same time engage in air combat!

Long Strike	Increases damage and range of webstrike.
Air Marshal	Air attacks deal additional damage and generate more Focus
Air Yank	Hold Webstrike ( ) while in the air to yank enemies upwards and enable air combat moves.

Innovator

Yank and Throw	Hold Webstrike ( ) to hurl yanked weapons back at enemies with concussive force.
Rocket Return	Press + to throw rocket back at enemies.
Collateral Damage	Thrown objects damage all nearby enemies.

Defender

At this point, you will have most of the important skills. These merely improve what you have and allow you to be more efficient.

Skill	Description
Vengeance	When below half health, attacks generate Focus faster.
Epicenter	Ground Strike has a larger blast that can knock enemies down when used from higher elevations.
Chain Finisher	Immediately perform a second Finisher on basic enemies.

Webslinger

Mobility in combat now becomes more powerful with these skills making you a dangerous aerial fighter.

Skill	Description
Quick Recovery	Press Jump () during a roll after landing to launch back into the air.
Bunker Buster	Swing Kick will now knock over shield enemies.
Charge Jump	Hold +Jump () while running or standing to build up charge, then release Jump () for a huge leap.
Blast Off	Air Launch attacks knock back nearby enemies. Has a short recharge time between uses.
