Spider-Man Remastered - Known Bugs and Glitches
Despite being a well-polished game, Spider-Man Remastered has several bugs and glitches that can affect gameplay or impede progress. Read on to know more about each error and learn how to fix them!

Known Bugs and Glitches

Below is a list of known Bugs, Glitches, and their Fixes in Spider-Man Remastered.

Power and Responsibility Trophy Bug

Power and Responsibility
This bug is related to one of the hardest Trophies to collect in the game – Power and Responsibility – and is a carry-over from the original release of Spider-Man on the PS4 where the Trophy would not unlock after completing the game on Ultimate difficulty on New Game+.

A patch, v1.003, was released to address this issue.

Glitching Into Buildings

Commonly occurring during moments of heavy animations – such as web-zipping onto a moving vehicle during a chasedown – which sees the player being stuck inside a building once the animation completes. Unfortunately, there is no way to move out of the building a player gets stuck in, leaving a game reset as the only option to fix this glitch.

Sound Bug

Occurring when fighting enemies that have "Energy Attacks" as part of their arsenal. When an enemy's attack is interrupted, there are rare times where the enemy's energy release will not reset, causing a continuous sound byte to repeat. The only way to "fix" this bug is by either moving away from the area or resetting the game.

Air Trick Momentum Bug

Air Trick Momentum Bug
A bug that occurs when performing "Air Tricks" while web-swinging across the city and is a carry-over from the original PS4 release. Although rare, there are times when performing tricks will disrupt the momentum between Spider-Man's swings.

Patch v.1003, which fixes other bugs and glitches, resolves this issue.

One More Time Trophy Bug

One More Time
An extremely rare bug where completing the game on New Game+ will not unlock the One More Time Trophy. The bug itself does not seem to be a game-centric issue but rather a server-side problem that poses issues with syncing.

Reconnect to the internet to see if the Trophy syncs properly.

Game Freezes

Game Freezes
Randomly during gameplay, the game can often "freeze", locking players out of controls. There is no known fix to this other than to reset the game or the console entirely.

Aiding a Human Mission Bug

During the Side Mission Aiding a Human on the Silver Lining DLC, where the Mission does not end after saving David. This leaves players unable to Fast Travel, change between the DLCs and the Main Campaign, nor do any map activities such as Crimes occur.

To fix this, players will need to:

  • Change Suits
  • Head to the Brooklyn Bridge and try to move across it until you get a message to "Return to Play Area"
  • Swing through the city for a time until the mission clears

If the mission does not clear, reload from a save and repeat the process.

How to Fix Bugs and Glitches

Reset Game

A general "fix" for most bugs, glitches, or errors encountered in-game is by simply restarting the game. This resets all of the game's currently running systems, ensuring a new run with a restart that can help eliminate any coding errors or bugs that affect gameplay during a concurrent run of the game.

Reset the Platform

Some problems can be caused by the platform's OS environment – particularly when it comes to Trophies. These include potential internet connection loss, a download in the background, or even certain system activities causing heavy RAM or CPU usage.

Restarting the platform can help reset all systems to conditions that may help to make the game run smoother.

Update to Latest Patch

Since it launched on PS5, several patches addressing significant bugs and glitches in the game have been released. Updating to the current game patch may help stabilize performance or outright eliminate any common bugs or glitches encountered by players.
