Although the level cap is set to 50 in Spider-Man Remastered, it is still possible to gain bonuses to your stats afterward through what are called Superior Level Ups. Read on to learn how to level up beyond the level cap, what Superior Level Ups are, and what they can do for your Spider-Man!
List of Contents
The max level in Spider-Man Remastered is capped off at 50. This level is enough to provide players with most, if not all, of the available Skills in-game.
Although it is not possible to go beyond the 50-level limit, players can still gain technical "level-ups" that provide them with increases in health and melee damage through what is called Superior Level Ups.
Unlike pre-Level 50 level-ups that provide substantial boosts to stats, Superior Level Ups only give small, incremental increases to two primary statlines – Max Health and Melee Damage at 1 Point and 1% respectively.
These bonuses add up as you gain more Super Level Ups – which can only be achieved every time you gain 25,000 XP at Level 50 – making you more powerful each time.
The Health Bonus given by Super Level Ups (+1 Point to Health per Level Up) stops once the player hits 250 HP.
After achieving the Main Campaign as well as the Side Quests that come with it, there are only three tangible sources for XP left in the game: the various activities in each District of New York, Benchmarks, as well as the DLC.
By going after each available task for District Completion, you are presented with several activities that provide substantial amounts of XP for every completed activity. This goes a long way in helping you achieve the 25,000 XP necessary to gain Superior Level Ups.
Benchmarks are small tasks that can be viewed from the Menu that are, for all intents and purposes, extra feats that can be achieved through regular gameplay. Although its rewards are small, the XP that you can gain from them counts towards the XP needed for level-ups.
The best way overall to gain more "levels" past 50 is by going through all of the DLC that comes with Spider-Man Remastered. Each DLC expansion – The Heist, Turf Wars, Silver Lining – all have its own unique Campaigns and Side Missions that provide abundant amounts of XP for you to sink into.
