How to Beat Bahamut

This is a walkthrough for the boss Bahamut from the game Final Fantasy VIII (FF8, FFVIII). Read on for tips and strategy about how to beat Bahamut, including Bahamut's stats and other useful information.

How to Beat Bahamut

Preparation

Meltdown magic, Blind to Status-ATK, GF Carbuncle, Wind to Elemental Magic (If available).

Moveset

Attack, Mega Flare, Thundaga, Stop, Tornado.

Strategy

Immediately use Carbuncle to render Bahamut's Thundaga and Stop useless. Tornado will not be reflected but the damage will be absorbed instead with wind elemental junction, so the only problem would be Bahamut's Mega Flare. Use Quistis' Mighty Guard or just cast Shell on everyone, then unleash wave after wave of attacks on Bahamut.
